"The business oasis for language professionals"
LONDON | 2-3 OCTOBER 2020
WHAT is Pro.Languages 2020?
We’ve all had our fair share of bland, anonymous conferences: uninspiring speakers standing before a sea of uncomfortable chairs in a badly lit room…who needs another one of those?
Pro.Languages is different. Intimate, engaging and packed-full of relevant information, we guarantee opportunities for delegates to receive personalized advice from passionate, motivated speakers.
WHO is Pro.Languages for?
2019 saw the inaugural Pro.Languages conference, aimed at Language Professionals wanting to take their business to the next level. The conference is specifically designed for driven professionals who are passionate about developing their business skills, learning from the experts and growing their network.
This year we will be hosting teachers, coaches, tutors and trainers, but will also be welcoming delegates with diverse backgrounds, from translators and examiners to legal professionals and VAs specializing in multi-lingual services.
WHO is hosting the event?
Pro.Languages was conceived and implemented by Nathalie Danon, who arrived in the UK in September 2000 after failing her degree at a French law school, with just a suitcase in her hand, a little money in her pocket and big ambitions to make the most of her bilingualism!
Disillusioned with office jobs, she placed an ad in a village shop offering French lessons… four years later she was working with 625 students a week! In Nathalie 2008 developed her one-man band into VICI Language Academy, now in its 11th profitable year and going from strength to strength. Further business developments swiftly followed, including the opening of VICI Language Dynamics for corporate clients and a French office to deal with international enquiries.
But it wasn’t all plain sailing, and during her journey Nathalie discovered that success requires being open to continuous personal development and being willing to ask for help. So for the last five years, she has been coaching and mentoring language professionals, drawing on her first hand experience to help people with a similar background get the leg up they need to make a success of their business.

Spotlight on Pro.Languages 2019
Pro.Languages 2019 hit the conference scene with a bang! So many wonderful speakers, so much fascinating content and – most importantly – such brilliant, inspiring, committed delegates.
If the event proved anything, it’s that Pro.Languages is not just for people who want to open and run large-scale businesses teaching foreign languages. This is a resource for private tutors, micro-businesses, SMEs – in fact anyone in business and education (whether foreign-language or not.)
“Came away with some great tools and lots of food for thought! I attended the second day of Pro.Languages 2019, next time I’ll attend both days. The speakers were great and gave us valuable advice that we were able to put into action on the day, having time for feedback and questions after each speaker meant we could ask questions pertaining to our own individual businesses and everyone who attended was so supportive and friendly. Highly recommend!”
“An inspiring, event with much down to earth information from a practising language professional who has built up a successful business from the ground up and is also ….. a woman and mother.
A good mix of dynamic speakers, written materials and slideshow presentations with ample opportunity for Q&A.”
